About us

Who we are

San Juan Diego Mission is a Catholic mission of the Diocese of St. Petersburg, in Dover, Florida.

Our mission

One faith, one love of God

We are a very varied community: farmworkers, construction workers, professionals. We have a variety of jobs, but one faith that unites us in the love of God.

We want to make the Gospel present among our brothers and sisters, especially the poorest and those who have strayed from the Lord, always supported by the Sacrament of the Eucharist.

Our story

From the strawberry fields to a Mission of the Diocese

The community was born accompanying migrant and farmworker families in Dover and Plant City. In June 2023 Bishop Gregory Parkes established it as a diocesan mission.
